welcome to IMANET
Isiolo Muslim Aid Network (IMANET) is a registered grassroots Community-Based Organization (CBO) based in Isiolo County, Northern Kenya. Founded by local leaders and concerned citizens driven by Islamic values, IMANET was born out of a shared commitment to uplift the lives of vulnerable and marginalized members of the Muslim community.

In a region often overlooked in mainstream development, IMANET serves as a beacon of hope. We work in some of the most underserved communities, focusing on orphans, widows, the elderly, and families grappling with poverty, displacement, or limited access to basic services.

With deep community roots, IMANET is uniquely positioned to deliver targeted, culturally sensitive programs that respond to real needs while fostering dignity, self-reliance, and spiritual growth.

Walking for Mercy: Isiolo Comes Together for the IMANET Iftar Walk 2

On 14th February 2026, the town of Isiolo witnessed a powerful show of unity, compassion, and community spirit as the Isiolo Muslim Aid Network (IMANET) organized the Isiolo Iftar Walk 2026 to raise funds for vulnerable families during the Ramadan period.

The event brought together people from all walks of life — youth, children, community members, volunteers, and supporters — who turned up in large numbers to walk for a shared cause: ensuring that vulnerable families in Isiolo can access food during Ramadan.

More than just a fundraising activity, the walk was a meaningful expression of solidarity and mercy. It reflected the values at the heart of Ramadan: caring for others, sharing what we have, and standing with those in need.

The walk was graced by Tecla Lorupe, a respected peace ambassador and a strong champion for the rights of women in Kenya. Her presence added inspiration and significance to the event, reinforcing the message of peace, dignity, and collective responsibility.

As participants moved through Isiolo with banners and messages of support, the community sent a clear message: no family should be left behind during Ramadan. Every step taken symbolized hope. Every contribution made helped bring IMANET closer to reaching families in need with food support.

Through initiatives like the Iftar Walk, IMANET continues to demonstrate the strength of community-driven action — mobilizing local support, inspiring generosity, and building a culture of compassion in Isiolo.

We sincerely thank all participants, partners, volunteers, and donors who made this event a success. Your support is helping provide not only food, but also dignity and hope to families during a sacred season.

Together, we walked. Together, we gave. Together, we made a difference.

Overview - Daawa Outreach Visit to Ngaremara Environs

The Isiolo Muslim Aid Network (IMANET) carried out a meaningful Daawa outreach programme at Ngaremara Mosque. This event aimed to reinforce Islamic teachings, promote community cohesion, and support Madrasa education through targeted interventions.

Programme Highlights

Community-Wide Daawa Session - IMANET led a comprehensive Daawa session for the entire community, focusing on spiritual nourishment, ethical guidance, and the importance of communal unity. The session was well attended by men, women, and youth from Ngaremara and the surrounding areas.

"Keep Children in Madrasa" Project - A key feature of the visit was the launch of the "Keep Children in Madrasa Project"—an initiative designed to increase and sustain attendance in local madrasas. Under this project, IMANET introduced a porridge feeding programme for Madrasa-going children. The provision of nutritious porridge serves as a vital incentive, encouraging consistent attendance and participation in Islamic education.

Impact and Community Response

The initiative was warmly received by the community, with parents expressing gratitude for the support. Local Madrasa teachers noted an increase in morale and enthusiasm among the children. The porridge programme is expected to significantly reduce absenteeism and strengthen Islamic learning at the grassroots level.

Conclusion

IMANET remains committed to its mission of fostering faith-based development, enhancing access to education, and empowering communities across Isiolo County. The Ngaremara Mosque visit marks another step forward in our collective effort to uplift and inspire the next generation through Islamic values and practical support.
